ON THE BACK BURNER

Sometimes I have things to say that do not go in any days thoughts. Here are some random thoughts that I have had. I love the church signs that I see in front of Christian churches. Today, I passed a sign that said, " Evil is Bad". I agree.I wonder if there is a book with sayings in them, or does some one think of these every few weeks.  This made me remember that the Burma Shave signs were all up and down our highways in Louisiana. When did they go away and what happened to Burma Shave. ? I have also thought that Rabbi's could recycle their sermons after a few years. I wonder if any do? I wouldn't remember a sermon from ten years back.  Then there are the people who own Rolls Royce's and park them in their driveways. I am impressed. I wonder if that car is outside to let the world know that the owner Is successful. Why wouldn't you park that expensive car in the garage. When we lived in the high rise in Chicago, we had valet parking. That was so cool. We would call down to the garage and say that we needed our car at a certain time . It was waiting for us when we got there. Once I was waiting to have my car brought around and a very sharp looking car, all full of chrome and leather, was waiting for its owner. If you got a little too close to the car, an automatic voice called from inside of the car, "step away from the car".  The garage attendants were taking turns standing close to the car to make it talk. When we lived in that building, there was a couple with a small dog who was trained to do what it had to do by their saying," out". The owner would stand just inside the garage door, let the pup out and say, " out". In rain and snow that dog would go 2 feet from the door, do its business and run right back in. The owners didn't have to do what the rest of us dog people did. That was to go out into the nasty Chicago winter weather and stand around the dog run until our pets were ready to come in. I don't think that I have any more thoughts right now.
