ON THE BACK BURNER

I bought some new makeup today and then I came home and had fun making " up" my face. I thought that I looked pretty good. Then I thought of my Grandmother. I have little recollection of her, except that I was terrified of her. She didn't speak English and she  never actually spoke to me. What stays with me is that of the memory that I have of her wrinkly skin and my saying that I never wanted to have skin like hers. My Mother did not have one wrinkle on her face. Now why didn't I inherit her skin and not my Grandmothers ? I thought of this and I also thought ," what do men do in place of going out and buying makeup". ? Think of it. Do men go to the beauty salon every five or six weeks. Well ,maybe some do. But what replaces buying make up. I'm going to do some research, ask around and come up with an answer. Since I stopped watching network news and I canceled my daily NYT , I have time for these serious questions.
