ON THE BACK BURNER

Another day, another park. What a day at the Magic Kingdom , and it was. I lost count of the parades that we saw, the attractions that we saw, the people that we stood in line with. The Minnies and Mickeys that we saw and even took a picture with. My favorite , is the flag ceremony  .The pomp and circumstances of lowering the flag at sundown brings tears every time I see it.  My next favorite thing is seeing all of the little girls running around in Disney costumes, down to nail polish with sparkles. We stood in many lines, met many different people who we would later see around the park as we going to other attractions. We had a few minutes each time to ask how things were going and if their kids had hit the wall yet because the parents looked like they had. I talked to people from Michigan,Washington, Florida and states in between. It happens to be a Jewish holiday, Tu b'Shvat, a celebration of spring and the rainy season that helps flower the dessert .Many of the families with kids in Jewish day schools , which are on holiday,    are here. You can't miss the kepas ( yarmakes) and the tzet tzet that the boy kids have hanging out of their shirts. Made me feel tight at home.
