Isn't there an expression about a "dogs life." Is it supposed to be good or a curse. ? I ask because today was not a good day for Noodle.I had been trying to have him eat his new, expensive hypoallergenic dog food. He stopped eating. He lost 1
lb. That's a lot in 4 days. . He smelled,he itched,he looked greasy and dirty and he was lethargic . I had just been to the Vet 4 days ago and he got an allergy shot. I couldn't stand to see him not eat, so today, since he wasn't showing any improvement,
I put him back on his regular food. And made an appointment to see the Vet again. So it really wasn't a dogs view of a good life, even with his regular food. At the Vet's ,he had his temp taken. And for the record, you can not ask a dog to hold the thermometer
under his tongue. Then he got his ears checked( infected, again) and deep cleaned .Then medicine squished in . T he Vet checked his mouth. A tooth was infected and hanging by sheer determination. That came out. Now, once we got home, I had to give him
his first antibiotic pill and worse....The doctor gave me some anti fungal, anti-everything shampoo with the directions to bath him 3 times a week. I did the first bath ,after closing all of the shades, undressing , running the bath , getting every beach towel
that I have ,and grabbing a startled Noodle , we then both got into the tub. It wasn't easy or pretty but we did it. My back hurts and he is exhausted. So I am thinking that maybe a dog's life has some blips in it. I'm not going to wake him up to ask him how
he feels about it.
