For some reason I was remembering a crazy marathon I ran with an old friend. It seems that we couldn't do a marathon that we had been considering. I don't know if I couldn't leave Bob or we each had other conflicting commitments , but we
couldn't plan on doing the run. So we made our own marathon, only we spread it over a month. We ran it once a week, stopping at the point we had decided upon and the next week, we picked up where we left off and ran to the next designated spot. We ran near
the Chicago Northwestern train route ,so we could always catch the train back and forth to where we ended or started. I don't know what made me remember this . This made me remember too how surprised we always were when we met someone away from the running
community. We'd say things like,"I've never seen you in clothes before". The wrong person hearing this could be mislead by that statement.Maybe I thought about these running days because it was the beautiful day . Or the fact that it was a little windy
and Chicago was known as the windy city. We often had windy days, especially when we ran along the lake front as we usually did. Maybe I had these thoughts because of no reason.Maybe this is one of those things that are just a mystery of life.
