Have you looked in anyone's junk drawer lately. I did and I was very discouraged. It was so neat. That's not the point. It's supposed to be a mess. I had a cousin who had the neatest house. She was the kind of person, who when she came home
from the grocery store, washed her lettuce, right away, cut up the melon and put the chunks in containers. She used the equation that you only need 3 of something. One you were wearing, one in the drawer and one in the dirty clothes. Her drawers were a mess.
My drawers reflect me. Some are neat and many more are not. I do have like kitchen utensils together. That's a bonus. I have noticed that when my son last visited, he stacked the silver in the silverware drawer so that everything was on its side. It
really looked good. I wish someone had looked. I put the silver in the correct slot, but it has free choice of how it wants to sit around in the slot.
Life is too short to worry about what isn't visible. As long as the counter tops
are cleared and the sink and stove are clean, please do not look in my junk drawer.Or the closet. Or the linen closet. Or the medicine chest.
