I got to walk a Great Dane, twice.I wore my running shoes when I did the walk. I knew that I might be pulled around and I didn't want my shoes to be what made me trip. The dog standing on his four legs, comes above my waist. And he outweighs me.
And he isn't that well trained. When you have a dog this big, you really have to be the alpha figure. When it comes to dogs, I am an alpha. My first walk with this beautiful animal, so majestic and graceful, was like a fly by. I flew by . He was all over the
place and I held on to that leash with both hands , braced myself and struggled to keep control. When I stopped to clean up after him, I was afraid that he would pull me over. But, we did the walk. The next walk, I was completely in charge. I think that I
got the message to him and he accepted me as Boss. It felt really good to be taking giant steps with this gorgeous dog. It was powerful feeling. There is something special about a dog this size. You stand out, for sure.
