ON THE BACK BURNER

I made a dish , for practice, of what I have been assigned to bring to a Thanksgiving dinner. It was good to practice. It wasn't worth the effort and I am going back to a traditional version of the assigned dish. I always practice when I am bringing something to someone's home. I did at least 6 challah's when I was invited to a Rosh Hashanah luncheon. And the effort was worth it. Not only did we get a lot of challah's to eat, the last one,the one I brought with us to lunch, was perfect. Now I want my assigned dish to be as good.I was hoping to do something different ,really, but sometimes you just can't leave tradition behind. But I refuse to put those marshmallows on top .
