ON THE BACK BURNER

Back to Mayaaka to do more bird watching.Once, years ago, I spotted a roseate spoonbill bird. Once. Today, I saw several ,many in flight and one pecking for what ever birds eat , here in Florida. That was so exciting. These birds , if you haven't seen them, are pink, and their bills have something that looks like a spoon at its end. I understand that their color gets a  bolder, but today, it was light pink. And my guest who also wanted to see alligators got her wish. Now  we are both happy. I don't get that excited about alligators, but I guess when I first moved here, I thought that it was cool to see them .Now , I just hope that they stay far far away from me and from Noodle. We tried hard to see a sunset tonight, to finish out another perfect day. Wasn't going to happen. The clouds took over and the sun just couldn't cut through them. We tried for a moon rise and we almost saw one. The moon was playing peek a boo behind some dark clouds and finally ,the clouds won. It would have been a very full moon, to go with our very full day.
