I was actually cold when I walked Noodle this morning. Maybe we will have fall after all. Later, my visitor and I went to visit Bob's grave and we counted at least a dozen Sand Hill Cranes prancing around the grounds of the Sarasota National
cemetery. I drove over to Mayaaka State Park to show off our native alligators. Couldn't find a one. It was a perfect Florida day, which can lull you into thinking that all is well in the world. It isn't and I need to remind myself that our problems
have not gone away just because my day was so good. As we watched a sunset later in the day, a fellow watcher told us of the hurricane heading for Mexico. I was completely unaware of this. Complacency is not a good thing. I appreciated the sunset, even
more, because now I am reminded once again, how quickly my perfect day can be changed into someones nightmare .
