ON THE BACK BURNER

I have to say that my new favorite place is now Universal Studios.Specifically, the Harry Potter exhibit. The rest of Universal can't compete with Disney, but Harry Potter won my heart. It is set up to resemble the village that Harry goes to school in. I did not see any of the movies, so  don't know if it is a duplicate of the architecture. The people at the exhibit are young and old. Some of the kids , who looked as if they were in fourth through high school, had on the school uniform, class determined by age, I guess. They carry wands and use them to manufacture magic. I had a butterbeer, a drink that is mentioned often in the books. It's like a root beer float with something foamy on top that tastes a little like butter.I just got a great feeling there, watching kids and parents,20 somethings and older, walk around and be Harry Potter . I had the feeling that these kids at this particular exhibit were readers ,or had parents who read to them. Disney was pure fantasy and make believe. So was Harry Potter. Imagination is a wonderful gift ,be it in a Star Wars setting or drinking butterbeer. And ,I think you get extra Brownie points if you read all seven Harry books.
