ON THE BACK BURNER

I visited the Sarasota National Cemetery  to check on Bob's grave. It has been 3 weeks since I was there. When I left, his aisle was 1/2 full and his grave had not yet had a headstone. Today ,his aisle was completely filled   ,plus part of the next aisle , and he has a stone. Everything is spelled correctly, which is something a Uchitelle always checks , first. There is still no landscaping ,but  think that now that his aisle is filled , the sod will be put down. Traditionally, when you visit a Jewish grave, you place a small stone on the headstone, to let the person in the grave, know that you visited. It is hard finding a small stone at the National cemetery , they keep the grounds so military precise, but I found a tiny stone and I was able to let Bob know that I was there. I think I will have to keep some stones in the car now .
