ON THE BACK BURNER

There is a wooden boat festival in town this week end. Cars are every where. Campers are every where. The city is letting campers  park on the streets overnight. This is a campers paradise. People actually live full time like this. The license plates are from Washington, Alaska, and Canada. They stay in these beautiful camp grounds for as long as they can, usually two weeks. Then they move to the next public camp ground and rotate like this. Who wouldn't want to camp next to a beautiful bay, sleep with the sound of waves and wake up like this. Unlike the camp grounds that I have seen in Colorado, where the campers are literally right next to each other, these sites are quite large. If you see an ad for  an RV, this must be the place that they took the photo shot. Many of the campers have their dogs with them and I saw some sites that had put up doggie play pens, next to their mobile homes. Some of these homes are upward of $200,000.00. Not an economical way to live. Gas out here is way over $3.00 a gallon and travel homes use a lot of gas to move around. That is why you see them pulling a matching car behind them. Their matching cares are not cheap either. Very impressive. I wonder what they did for a living. Certainly not free lance writing.

yes indeed there is something special here, but it takes a positive observer to feel it, or see it or smell it. this place has an energy, not everyone gets it.
