My Grandson made a list of things for me to do over a period of time. I've done a few and I am working on the rest. I bought a bike. i am reading Harry Potter and advocating that other adults who haven't read the series, do so. On
my list was that I should write a poem. So I did.I tried for Haiku, but I am not sure that I got it right. A haiku is a three line poem that does not rhyme . The first and third lines should have seven syllables and the second should have five.
Here goes.
death, expected, was quiet
accepted in grace and dignity
presence left in a cough
I have always liked Haiku. A few words tell a lot of life. I
should work on writing some more. Poems, I mean.
