ON THE BACK BURNER

I put my new bike in the car so that after I went to check on Bob's grave site for landscaping( not yet), I could go to Myaaka State Park and take a ride.I struggled to get the bike  in the car. I will have to ask for help because I can't figure out how to put the seats down. i did what I usually don't do. I read the car's manual. I still couldn't figure it out. So I pushed the bike into the back and hoped that I wouldn't do too much damage to it.  After I visited Bob, I drove the few miles to the park and lifted the bike out of the back. That's when I decided that I needed to make one more purchase. A bike rack. I did my first ride of any length. From the park entrance to the concession stand. I could see how flooded certain areas were. One more rain and I think the park would have to close until the road was clear. There were some areas where I rode through some water. It was different seeing this from my new level and not sitting all protected in a car. My round trip distance was 6.1 miles . I had no idea I was going this far on my first ride outside of my development. I did good. i may be a short time away from joining a riding group. That's my goal. It's on my list.
