ON THE BACK BURNER

I am thinking that I live in a tropical paradise. Sitting, as I seem to be doing a lot of lately, I notice insects and creeping things that I never paid too much attention to before. I have very discretely watched a larger gecko pursue a smaller one. Male - female, I am guessing. I saw a poor water logged bee, try to fly home and then just fall off of our planter. Last night, I heard chirping in the second bedroom. There was a tiny tree  frog jumping all over the place. It was useless to help him. He was just out of control. Now , I am watching a dragon fly dry out. I still think of them as mosquito  hogs, but am trying to   be politically correct, but old ways are hard to break. We have a very large , black snake that squirms around back and forth right outside our slider. I know that he isn't poisoness , but I dislike seeing him that near to the slider. The other day, Bob pointed out something creeping along the glassof the slider. Outside, thankfully. It was a big, fat slug. He moved about one inch an hour. Lord knows where he is right now.
