ON THE BACK BURNER

I'm not that good with dates. I need to have reminders' even for the ones that I love. But there are those dates that just stick in your head. The date that Bob  had his stroke. Not the day that he had his heart attack. I remember my parents anniversary, but not my Father's birthday. I can't remember the date that we bought our house in Evanston, or the date that we sold it. I just know that we lived there over 20 years and had our cottage for over 30 years. I had these thoughts in my head when I was reminded of two people that are special to me and they are remembering the deaths of their husbands. It is a sad day for them and for those that knew their husbands. In judaism, we acknowledge the anniversary of a loved ones death by saying a  special prayer. It means "remember" . And we do.
