ON THE BACK BURNER

I have been cinc'ed as in Cinco de mayo. It was fun celebrating a country's holiday. If we had been in Chicago, cars would be out driving around with Mexico's flag waving from the windows and horns  honking. It was a festive time with a parade and activities. Here, it was more subdued. You eat and drink margarita's,although, at the group I was with, we drank coke and  Seltzer. The high light of my being with friends was that we each took a turn telling about the  thing that was special or of interest. I was surprised how many in our group took wood shop in middle school, remembering the teacher and what they made. I never did that in middle school. I'm so old that Middle school hadn't been invented yet. I went K-8, with 1/2 years. 6A or 6B.That explains everything.
