I have observed that many cars have kayak's on their roofs.Sometimes two. This caught my attention because I have a unconfirmed feeling that many of these kayak's don't ever see the waters.It's like bikes on the back of cars. This I Know to be true
because we are guilty of carrying bikes on our car and never taking them off the back. We have carried our bikes on various trips. I took my mountain bike to Colorado where I did ride on some trails. It was hard work.We took our bikes to the Wisconsin Dells
one trip. We had an easier time there..no altitude problems. Mostly we brought our bikes to our vacation destinations and then brought them home again, unused. I think it looks really sporty to have a kayak on top of your car. When I had a kayak, I couldn't
reach to put mine on top of the car. I had to put down the seats in our van and slide the kayak inside. Then I had to buy a set of wheels that let me wheel it to the waters edge. But it was worth it once you got into the calm waters of all of the canals
around here. Sometimes I miss it.
