Every time I pump gas ,I am thankful that I am in Florida. I remember the times when I had to fill up ,in Illinois, and it was sleeting, or raining or both , accompanied by wind. I would chose when I would fill up the tank by the weather report. If I
heard that it was going to be nasty,I filled up before the weather changed. Me and everyone else.Gas stations seem cleaner here. Is this just my memory of Chicago stations. We had our favorite station on the way to and from our cottage. The kids rated the
bathrooms. They used "seaters" as the rating system. The gas station could be a two seater, fair, or a four seater, really clean and well appointed.A great service station lives in Nebraska. It has everything we could want,if we were truckers. Our Grandsons
loved it. You could eat, shower, call home, fill up with gas and buy electronics. They also had a grocery section, magazines, fishing tackle, you name it and it was there, some place. And it was clean. Bob bought a Nebraska base ball cap there. He wore it for
years until it blew off of his head one day. It was red. If you ever see one where it doesn't belong. Its his.
