ON THE BACK BURNER

Here is a typical sleep pattern. It is 3:30 AM. This is the time that other "incidents" have occurred. Soundly sleeping, I hear a cough. I freeze in my sleep. It's like when a kid cried out in their sleep. No matter how far away the bedrooms are from each other, or how soundly you are sleeping, you hear the cry. Second cough. Now I get up because my stomach is in a knot. Third cough, I go into bathroom to get dressed, in case I have to have the hospice nurse come. Then nothing. No more coughing. I am dress. Too early to get up. To late to go back to sleep. Heart still racing from anxiety. Can't post my blog, because kids in different time zones will be worried because my posting time is too early. Too dark to walk Noodle. Anyway, he is snoring in his neon green kennel. Moral of the story. People cough. It happens. Try and relax.
