I have lived ,so far, 83 years. I can look back ,historically, and see what has happen . My parents gave me a depression. My parents gave me World War 11. My parents, until I was 21 and could vote, gave me elected officials that I didn't always agree
with, but who were not so divisive as to make me question their motives, morals or management skills. Then it became my turn to hand history to my children. I gave them Korea,I gave them Viet nam,I am giving them the whole of the middle East, I gave
them the murders of Civil Rights leaders,a President of the United States,an Attorney General, the bursting of our financial bubble, global warming , political discord and assault rifles. I continue to give them segregation, inequality, homophobia
, and still ,assault weapons. My fellow peers, lamented what we are leaving for our kids. A mess. What will happen to our children and grandchildren , they said. But. These children, our Grandchildren are stronger than we were. They are articulate. They
are not intimidated. Good for them. They put us to shame because we were indifferent,we were selfish, we were complacent. WE cared, but not enough to make ourselves uncomfortable. They are not like us. They are a better us. I will vote for them some
day. Remember their names. I will live long enough to do this.
