Each of our kids has a specialty. Our son is here and truthfully, I don't know where his skills came from, but he can fix things. I have written before about my fathers lack of mechanical ability . We didn't own a hammer. I think we used a shoe to knock
a nail into the wall to hang a picture. We did not have a lot of pictures on our walls. In fact, I only remember a large mirror over the fireplace. I had a list of "projects" for our son, from replacing a light bulb(yes, it finally happened), to rolling up
some area rugs and getting them ready for the pick up tomorrow. And not to forget, he finished up my vinyl floor. I did everything except the area at the walls. Knowing that I am not a precision person, I left that for him and he did not disappoint. I don't
know why I am not a precise person. I can't do anything straight. I can't back up a car in a straight line, even if I draw a straight line with a ruler, I cut crooked. I think that I can color in the lines. I haven't done that in a long time, so I am not as
sure of this.
