ON THE BACK BURNER

Whn I take Noodle out for his last walk of the evening, I look up at the sky and if it is clear, I am always impressed with being able to see so many stars. I know a few of the positions. The dippers, the North star. I tried learning to recognize the constellations, but I couldn't use my imagination to see them. When we lived in the city, there were too many street lights, so we couldn't see the stars that well. I've tried to see the space shuttle when the weather man says it will be visible, but I never see anything. For awhile I had an app that was supposed to let me  set my location and then look up and the stars would be identified for me. I never could get it to work, so I zapped it out. I should try it again. I've thought of getting up early or not going to bed when something special happens in the sky, but I guess that  I am not that committed . I can always see it on TV if it's that special.
