ON THE BACK BURNER

Now that Bob uses oxygen at night, we have a number of new sounds to get used to. The first night we had the oxygen machine, I heard a chirping sounds. I called the company that services the machine and someone came right over. I had the machine to near the wall and it  needed room to vent. Who knew. Then the machine lets out a puff sound, like it is breathing. That plus the motor that runs all of the time that it is in use. Surprisingly, these sounds are rather soothing and we sleep right through them. Now I am hearing a new chirping sound. I thought that it was the machine calling out to me again. I then thought that maybe a tree frog was in the house. Then I put my ear to this iPad and then my iPhone. Nope. The smoke detector ! Who knew they had a voice. Guess it's time for a new battery. Better not burn my toast until I get that battery.

Leona, Dan used an oxygen machine at night for some months also. Because of his transplant. Having the machine Dan says can be restricting.
