I'm sitting watching people play golf. Some one must have told some of them , like they are genuflecting, to bend their knees because they do this exaggerated knee bend , bend, stand up straight again, and hit the ball. The ball goes sidewise
or bounces. I hope these people don't give up the game because they can't play. Maybe they just need a few more lessons. I can comment because I am never going to play golf. My sport involves putting one foot in front of the other, and hope that I moved forward.
Some times this doesn't work and I've fallen. Or I am so slow that it appears that I am not moving. But my game is endurance, not speed. Once, after I bought an expensive gore tex running outfit, I fell. My one concern was that I didn't tear the knees on the
pants. Forget that I had terrible road burn on the palms of my hands, where I caught all of my weight. On TV today, I saw a shot of people in Russia, where it is unbelievably cold, have their eye lashes freeze. That would happen in Chicago ,too. I loved when
that happened. It showed how tough I was. I was on a flight home from doing the New York marathon one year and a fellow passenger started talking to me. He said he had entered the marathon but didn't run it because it was rainy and cold. What a wimp. I am
woman, I am strong. Just saying.
