ON THE BACK BURNER

Interesting watching Noodle recover from surgery. I am learning about doggie thought processes. Feeling sorry for him,I carried him outside to relieve himself. He collapsed in a heap and just sat there. I carried him back into the house ,still feeling sorry for him. But I needed to have him pee, so I put his leash on him and he bounced up, followed me outside and took a short walk. Conclusion: If you treat a dog or any one else for that matter like an invalid, they act like an invalid. I think that sometimes people think I don't give Bob any slack. But that is because I don't want him to think like an invalid . The more I do, the less responsibility he would take for what he does.I also think that is why he has lasted 20 plus years after his initial stroke. Conclusion: Not sure, but so far it's working and the alternative isn't so positive. PS. Noodle is sleeping after taking pain meds and I hope he sleeps all night. He didn't, I didn't, we didn't.
