Around my birthday day, I start buying and ordering myself presents.Yesterday, I received one of them . I bought myself an InstaPot, after I read about the inventor in the NYT. Yes, I know , I have , probably , an appliance that does what the
Insta Pot does, but I bought it anyway. It came and I made chili in 25 minutes. Knowing how busy I am in retirement, I needed to save all of the minutes that would go into making a pot of chili on an electric stove. Now I have minutes to bank for when I really
need them. The chili is quite good, too. That means that I can get rid of one appliance that duplicates the InstaPot, my crock pot. I already have two, I'll keep one. Now I am thinking about passing on my rice cooker to the rummage sale. First, I'll make rice
in my new InstaPot. That will eliminate another small appliances. I also gave myself a DNA test. That hasn't come yet. I may find that I am a Romanian gypsy, or a Russian Princess. Wouldn't that be a hoot.My last present to myself is another cookbook. I have
to learn how to use my new InstaPot, don't I. I have no intentions of getting rid of my other cook books. So don't look for them at the rummage sale.
