ON THE BACK BURNER

I just watched a Kraft Food's commercial about being a perfect parent. Of course I cried. I was suppose to. I never thought that I wasn't a good parent. I think that we gave the kids love, comfort, material things, ethics, stability,a religion that they could decide about later, education, fun, memories. What I would like, is that there are some things that I would like to do over. The years that we had the kids home with us seem to have flown by. Did we have crises, did we handle them right. Probably yes and no. But I think they managed to muddle through growing up without too many visible scars. Did they take charge of their own  decision. Absolutely yes. I think that more than anything, they decided early to take their own paths and we just let them go. Proud of them.?Absolutely YES.
