I have refrigerator envy. When we did our kitchen a few years ago, I ordered my dream fridge. The kind with two doors that open out ,on the top.The contractor measured, and all was well. Until the fridge got here.It didn't fit ,by a fraction.
So it went back and another fridge came into my life. The fridge is fine, foods stay fresh for longer then I expect. The only problem is that I can't see the top shelf. I've reconfigured the shelves and I still end up not being able to reach the top shelf.
But that is not my envy. The envy comes when I looked in a friends fridge. It was so empty and neat. I have plastic containers stacked on top of each other. Jars smushed against each other. Limp carrots in the crisper drawer, half a lemon in a baggie. I didn't
see any left overs, or half a can of dog food, or 5 kinds of mustard in hers. I need to reorganize this fridge again. I want mine to look like hers. Clean and empty. Who needs left overs of leftovers. The second envy that I have related to refrigerators involves
a younger couple I know, who couldn't get their dream fridge into the space that they thought that they could. So they cut the counter. Brilliant. Why didn't I think of that.
