I just saw a video of Obama reporting for jury duty in Chicago. He was surrounded by secret service people. I once went to a picnic where a President (not the party of my choice) attended. I have to say, I was excited that I was there. I had to give
my ID, and my social security number before I could attend. My name was then placed on the list of who would be attending. The secret service people, all men, did talk into their wrist bands and they did look a little conspicuous in their black suits while
the rest of us were in shorts and hiking boots. We could make out sharp shooters along the ridges of the visible mountains. They kept a close eye on the crowd and cabin roof tops. The President wore jeans and a red windbreaker. We were at the YMCA of
the Rockies for our annual vacation there. The President was coming to visit the area to support the National Park system. He ate hot dogs with us, worked the room and stopped for photos. I have a picture with him and two of our Grandsons. Politics aside,
everyone was honored to be in the company of a President. I think that if this happened this year, I wouldn't attend. Just saying.
