I see that the National Parks may charge up to $70 for a pass to enter the park. One of my most prized procession is my Golden Age Pass to the National Parks. I got it 25 or so years ago and it has always gotten my car into the Rocky Mountain
national Park . Every year that I go to the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado, I packed the pass. When I am not there, I keep it where I can see it ,right on my desk. I am not sure if they still issue this pass. It is red, white and blue and I have
it encased in a plastic shield. It is as special to me as my Social Security card. I have a friend , my age, who still volunteers at a National Park . She has done this for many summer seasons. She is usually assigned to a visitors center, a great place
for her. She gets to wear a uniform. I think that was part of the draw for her. She loves it. If you ever meet her, ask about the Lewis and Clark trail. She is very knowledgable.
