Today, in a phone call from a daughter who will be visiting next week, I learned that she and her husband do not eat anything that was once alive. OK. I think this is called being vegetarian. I can do this. I did it before. This week, I have another
daughter here with her husband and they are Glatt Kosher. I can deal with that too. We are very adaptable when it comes to our kids. For the Kosher ones, we have a box of dishes, pots and pans and a wash basin that we only take down when they are here. Trader
Joe's carry K meats and if you study labels really intently ,you can put together great meals that make everyone happy. Veggie meals are easy peasy. We were vegetarians once . When we were, we had no idea that cheeses and eggs might not be so good for cholesterol
counts. Now with low carb diets, cheese and butter and eggs are back in vogue. I don't know what happened to cholesterol. Is it still popular. These food plans change every so often to the point that if you stick around long enough and are interested, you
can eat from each plan , make the circuit and come back to where you started. At this point, I just eat what I like , which seems to be everything and let the good times roll. This must be from my New Orleans DNA.
