Is there any place that I can go where the news isn't bad. I asked this question this morning as I read the first page of the NYT. The answer I got..probably not. I don't even know where some of the places are that are in the news,, and the news from
there is terrible. The news from Arizona is bad, as is the news from California, Washington, DC, North Korea, Mogadishu, Fires, opioids,predators, fraud, theft, sexual misconduct. There must be some place that is physically , emotionally ,spiritually
and nuclear free safe. That's where I want to go. And maybe it will even have a change of seasons. I have this new theory that maybe war is a natural state and peace is not. We have to work toward peace, but you never hear that we have to work toward war.
I have never lived when there wasn't a war or a military action. WW11, Korea, Viet Nam,Afghanistan, the Cuban Crisis, assinations, attempts of assination , disgraced politicians. I wonder what it would be like to get up, read the front page of
the paper and not get upset. Probably won't happen. There is always the political news. That makes me even more unhappy. I guess it just ain't gonna happen.
