ON THE BACK BURNER

I see Bob reading a book , titled"Faster,Higher,Farther". I have no idea what it is about, but it reminds me of how our kids actually, really ,truly, believed that when they wore their PFFlyers ,they could do those things. I have a memory of one of the four, jumping off of a kitchen chair with a cape of a towel around their neck, thinking that they might fly. It's good to have such an imagination. As I remember, they were not that upset that they couldn't, but they were going to try it out, anyway. That's pretty optimistic, now that I think back. I wonder how those thoughts that they might be able to fly with new PFFlyers shaped them for adulthood. None of them are afraid of a challenge. They are reasonably  cautious. They are known to push themselves to achieve when it is called for. Some are more laid back than others. Those must have been pretty impressive PFFlyer shoes. They shaped my kids. And here I thought that we did it. I guess you are either a believer  or you're not. I like the believer kind.
