ON THE BACK BURNER

I'm getting into Tiny Houses. They look so cute and practical. Our cottage was 780 sq.ft. This doesn't include the deck. It was plenty big for 6 people, dogs, and guests. It had two bedrooms and one bathroom. We could sleep 6-7 in actual beds and the overflow could be in a tent on the beach, or on roll away beds in the living room. Once , when Bob's sibs came for a sibs week end, we rented a motor home for extra space and more bathrooms. I never got to sleep in it. That would have been so much fun. Notice, it is not a cabin, it is a cottage. Cabins are in the woods, cottages are in the woods on one side and a lake on the other side. We had many a heated discussion about whether or not the door where we always entered the cottage was the front of the house or the back. The other side of the house was opened to the lake and many in the family, thought that this should be the front of the house.(It's the back). We had a trailer size three burner stove at first. It was fine for Thanksgiving turkey and all of the fixings. We later replaced it with an apartment size stove because it rusted out. Our refrigerator , was the best. One of a kind. It had a retro shape and our son painted a scene from our lake on it. I wanted to take the door when we left the cottage to someone else to love. I wonder if they kept it.
