ON THE BACK BURNER

When I open our door to walk to the car, I have to be careful about stepping on gecko's. They seem to be very abundant . Might be because of our heavy rain and flooding. They are not too concerned about my stepping on them. I don't,but they are really under foot. They don't scurry off, I am the one who has to step lightly. Just like the birth rate rises nine months after a blizzard, or snow storm, these gecko's , with a shorter gestation period are going to overtake our walkway in a few months,or weeks. Noodle doesn't see them. He just marches past them. Today he decided that he had to take his bone with him when he went out to pee. That was pretty cute. I could have wrestled it away from him, but it was his bone, so I didn't bother. If he could see the gecko's and be a threat to them, I bet they would move more quickly. Every so often, I find a skeleton of one some where in the house. I would rather they stay in their own homes, not mine. Truce, Gecko ?
