That knot in the pit of my stomach is still there, but the world still rotates, and people still love and people still hate. Our Rabbi told us tonight, that the Torah ,in it's list of what is and what is not Kosher, said that the ostrich is not Kosher.
In fact, it is very not Kosher. The reason: because it turns its back when there is a reason to reach out. It hides its head in the sand , that it turn its back and looks the other way when its help is needed. If that ostrich is a metaphor for how we should
be protesting,supporting like minded people, and encouraging our elected officials to do the right thing, this is what we have to do.
