ON THE BACK BURNER

I am sorry that I did it. I did not enjoy it. I relented and made a deviled egg using a little bit of pickle relish in the mixture. I should never have changed my traditional, perfect,, just the way it is supposed to taste, deviled egg. Mayo, a smidge of yellow baseball park type mustard, salt and maybe a speck of pepper. That is the gospel , according to me. I had heard from a friend that putting relish in the egg mix is the best thing that has happened to deviled eggs. WRONG. Why was I lead astray. It absolutely ruined my deviled eggs, for me. Unfortunately, my mate thought they were great. But then he will eat anything. Which is another story .
