ON THE BACK BURNER

Thur I am very opinionated. My strongest opinion is this: Why are there fund raisers for " Wounded Warriors"? Why are private citizens being asked to contribute to providing for these men and women who enlisted and got wounded. If these men and women were in our military and were wounded, physically or emotionally , we , and the we is our government to which we all pay taxes, should do 100 % for them. Why do we need bake sales and jars on gas station counters for contributions, asking us to provide for them. I don't get this. They were hurt in a place where we put them. They must have seen horrific acts to be so disturbed, so broken. Some bodies were damaged . Some minds were damaged .And for some ,the results caught up to them years later, without their even expecting it. Now we ,our government, should be taking care of them , for as long as we have to. I have had some small interaction with the VA. It was a positive action. I only have what I experienced to talk about. I hear and see words and pictures of mistreatment and denial. What is that. Why was my treatment better ? Why are some warriors having to fight and lose their dignity to get help for what we sent them to do. I really don't get it. Who do I talk to to get these problems addressed. It shouldn't be. Ever. This is my biased opinion .
