Tues Have you ever written a fan letter ?I have not, but I am working on one right now. I just finished reading a moving and to me spiritual book by Tom Ryan. His first book was "Following Atticus" his story of life with a special dog, Atticus. I liked
the book very much, thought of it at times, but that was all . This last trip to the library had me looking at the cover of his second book,"Will's Red Coat".I hadn't realized that he wrote a second book, had a web site, or a hospice dog. I guess I am not
that aware of life outside of my narrow circle. This book, coming to me right after Cricket died, has more meaning than I want to accept right now. Tom's writing touched me more than it should have. His few years with this angry ,old dog who accepted a second
chance to live at peace is so moving and meant so much to me, that I want to write a fan letter. I am beginning to think that a person does have a reason to be here. A special gift that may be a challenge to realize. It might even be too late for some people
to find what their specialness is, but we all have it ,somewhere in us. I haven't quite found mine, but I have the beginning of a vision of what my specialness might be. I'm working on it.
