ON THE BACK BURNER

With Passover coming up in a week,I have been thinking about about freedom and liberation, the watch word of the holiday. That made me include in my thoughts,"happiness". I have read that you are responsible for your own " happiness". I don't completely believe that. I can be happy, but I have to consider the people close to me. If my happiness doesn't involve their well being, and their personal happiness , how can I do my happy thing. Happiness in a family has a trickle down affect. If I do what makes me happy but leaves out what a person close to me can do, can I do it. So no, I am not fully onboard with the notion that I am responsible for my happiness. I can only be happy when everyone around me has what makes them happy too. Some times , sacrificing or putting on the back burner what makes you happy, is the loving way to go. Love makes me happy.
