Years ago Bob wrote a wonderful short story called "World on Our Doorstep". It was so good that he won a prestigious award at the University of Michigan for it. A person, literally ,woke up to find the world had rolled onto his doorstep. No one wanted
to take responsibility for its happening. With the internet and the capability of a hostile country almost able to send a bomb our way, the political repercussions of other countries because of our election ,our finances being interwoven with other countries, etc,
etc, we are all on each others doorstep. I don't find this reassuring. It scares me. What ever happened to the Family of Man. Family has a problem. Everyone has to be involved in figuring this problem out . The world needs us to do this. My Rabbi, last night,
said that as a community, we have to include the good people, the bad people and the people in the middle. Right now, the world is our community. If you are inclusive , then you bring the outsider in and they may become the in , in inclusive. That's a small
step toward insuring our well being and a future. I don't like waking up with these heavy thoughts. Let's talk about the weather.
