ON THE BACK BURNER

How do you spell laryngitis .Thank goodness for spell check because it just corrected my spelling. I sound like the late Marilyn Monroe. Wispy and soft. Not the real me. The voice, I mean. I will have to check with my kids, but I don't think that I was a screamer. More likely, if I lowered my voice , watch out. I'll see what they remember about voice levels. I do know that we talked over each other. None of this one of the time conversations. Just jump in works .But back to my laryngitis, it is a strain to almost talk. I am doing a lot of head nodding or shaking. Luckily, I feel fine, just don't ask me to give the Gettysburg address. I still remember it from 8th grade. I use to wonder why we learned those wonderful essays. Now I think it is to give us comfort in these trying times. Four score and seven years ago......
