Last night I attended a beautiful program called"Violins of Hope". Violins each with a recorded history , were saved from the Holocaust and brought back to life. Most were never expensive violins. Some played at death marches. Some were responsible
for keeping a family alive.Last night, in the hands of some alumni students of the Perlman School, they sounded like masterpieces. The generous man who has devoted his live to restoring these violins,in his opening statement, said "Never Again, Never Anyone".
This is why we Jews have to be political. Why we have to have a voice, Have to stand up for what we see as wrong. The violins had a voice last night, we have a message too. We can't be silent. We know what happens if you and your country are silent.Never, ever
again, never anyone.
