ON THE BACK BURNER

Our weather is going to contrast so much with what is going on in the rest of the states that expect more people will realize that we are the only place warm and cozy and want to come down for a visit. That works for me. I do complain about more traffic, but the answer to that is to give myself more time to get where I am going. It's fun to see all of the different license plates when I am in a parking lot. An Alaska plate gets more points than a Georgia plate. I met someone recently who moved here from Maui. I know that they shipped their car but forgot to ask about her license plate. I bet it gets noticed in the parking lot. When we moved to Florida and changed our plates over ,we had a choice of dozens of designs. We could show our loyalty to any cause that we wanted. We went generic.I think we have an orange on the plate. It's so nondescript that I don't even remember what is on it. We had our Illinois plate for years and I knew the number by memory. I can't even remember what this Florida plate has on it. maybe I should write it down some place in case our car is stolen and I need to report it. On the other hand, who would want a Soccer Granny car. On the lot, it looks like every other silver/grey mini van. I sometimes try to get into another persons car by mistake. I only know because the remote doesn't work. I am going out right now to check my plate. Well maybe later when it gets brighter outside. I might try to get into my neighbor's van in the dark.
