I wrote my first check of the year today. 2017. It wasn't as hard as I thought to remember to write this new date. And the check went to my violin teacher. This is a good way to start a year, paying for what I consider my therapy session. I don't want
to say that I will probably never play much better because I believe in intentions. Intentions are saying enough times ,in a positive way, that you will accomplish something. In my case, playing my violin , better. Another way that I explain intention is by
this example. Say ,"I hope that I don't trip on that curb". Now you have set yourself up to trip. And when you get to the curb, you trip. Instead, I needed to say, "here comes a curb, take a step over it". So, I am setting myself up to play my violin with
more authority,smoother and with better timing. I can do this. Somewhere along the way, practicing more will help. And about the therapy part, a whole 45 minutes just for me, doing what I love with a very patient teacher..now that is a great way to start a
new year. Play on .
