I just had the nicest four day early, birthday present. My 12 year old visiting Grandson made ...from scratch.. a birthday cake. And it was good! No one, to the best of my memory, has made me a birthday cake. Now , maybe , I will like my birth date
more. There are two dates that people shouldn't have birthdays. One is December 25th and the other December 31st. I always felt that I was cheated out of getting two presents. One on my birthdate and the second on ,for me Chanukah, which is usually near December
25. For years, I heard,"Happy Birthday and Happy Chanukah. Here is your present". And I would get one present. I guess some people don't mind, but I love getting presents, so I feel that I am due two not one. In fact, I was asked by an astute family member,
what I miss most about Bob having a stroke, and I am sad to say, I replied"getting presents". Did I ever mention that as a little girl, my Daddy brought me home what I consider a present, every night.? It was sometimes a pair of shoe laces and sometimes a
pencil, but he remembered me every night, with something. I guess this is why I love presents. I was born for them.
