I don't know if you have been to the airport recently, but since I have, I can speak with authority. More small dogs are traveling with their owners and not in the cargo hatch. On my last visit to the airport, the small dogs on board the arriving flight
numbered more than what the airlines say is the limit per plane. And many of them were not in travel kennels. Cricket has a chance to become an airline passenger. I have her travel kennel. I have been trying to entice her to get in it for over a year. I hide
a cookie in there and the idea is that she gets into it, loves the treat and stays in it for another treat. How it really works is that she puts her head in as far as necessary to get the cookie and then backs out , just as fast. Cookie in mouth. When we take
her in the car, she trembles all of the way to our destination. On the way home, she is fine. She must have had a bad experience with cars. Since she only goes two places in the car, groomer or vet, I can understand this. We are thinking of doing a road trip
this summer with as many of our Grandsons as can make it. I want Cricket along for the fun. I better try something else besides a cookie as a treat.
