There was excitement in Bird Bay. We heard so many sirens that we assumed that there had been a terrible crash on US 41. Turned out, there was a fire a few doors from us. The fire department and emergency vehicles, the Battalion chief, everyone responded.
Also all neighbors and dogs were out. I don't think the damage was a complete gut job and as far as I know, there were no injuries, so that is good news. It is also good to know how quickly the responders were here. A year or so ago, I needed to call for help
when Bob slipped and fell. The responders were here in minutes,did their job, checked him out and reminded me that this is what they are here for and not to hesitate to call on them. Nice to know that they have our backs.
